Artist spotlight: Eddie Halliwell is a Manchester-connected British electronic DJ known for high-energy mixing, scratching and sets that travel among trance, techno and house. His career includes national radio and the long-running Fire It Up mix series. The series continues in 2026: his own Mixcloud channel lists consecutively numbered Fire It Up episodes, with different electronic subgenres represented across the mixes. The show listings confirm current recorded activity; an upload is not proof of an in-person gig. Index Dublin independently announces Halliwell alongside Mauro Picotto for Friday November 6, 2026, with an 11 p.m. opening and a 3 a.m. close the following morning. The Academy ticket calendar lists this particular appearance as sold out, so The DJ Hangout must not offer unverified admission. The event takes place under the Index club brand at The Academy, 57 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin. The artist, the music-series evidence and the precise venue booking are distinct, checkable claims. Future event links will only be added when the date, lineup and venue are corroborated by a primary organizer.
THE DJ HANGOUT / VERIFIED EVENT BACKGROUND
Fire It Up selector Eddie Halliwell joins Italian dance veteran Mauro Picotto in Dublin
Index Dublin confirms Friday, November 6, 2026 for Eddie Halliwell and Mauro Picotto, two experienced electronic DJs associated with the harder-edged trance and techno traditions. Index lists the show from 11 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday. The Academy’s own event calendar corroborates the performers and date.
Halliwell continues to issue his Fire It Up recordings on Mixcloud, with a regularly numbered mix archive spanning house, tech house, trance and techno. That proves recording activity, but the November appearance is established separately by the promoter’s and the physical venue’s listings. Mauro Picotto’s existing DJ Hangout biography is reused, not duplicated.
The show is advertised under the Index brand; the ticket seller identifies the actual location as The Academy, 57 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1. Calling Index a separate street address would be misleading. The Academy currently marks the night sold out and states 18+ entry with photo ID required.
The promoter has not independently specified each artist’s clock time. No unverified resale link is supplied and The DJ Hangout preserves the event as a discoverable Show with two artist profiles and the correct physical venue information.
