LP Giobbi is an American DJ, producer and pianist whose performances connect house music with live keyboard playing and a commitment to expanding participation in electronic production. A co-founder of FEMME HOUSE, she has built a profile as both a dance-floor DJ and an advocate for women and gender-expansive musicians. Treefort Music Fest confirmed LP Giobbi on its first 2027 roster on October 15, 2026, emphasizing her house sound and integration of live piano. The Boise festival runs March 31 through April 4, but the organizer has not published which day or venue LP Giobbi will play. Her name here refers only to that announced electronic performance; unrelated country or indie acts elsewhere on Treefort’s program are not DJ Hangout electronic bookings.

A fourteen-year-old walks into a nightclub for his own birthday party. The person who captures his attention is not a singer or a famous guest. It is the DJ: one person controlling the entire mood of the room with records. Paco Osuna tells that story in his 2023 DJ Mag interview. His uncle managed Studio 54 in Barcelona, where special early-evening sessions introduced younger audiences to club culture. Seeing the DJ there gave Osuna a new ambition. It was not the career his family expected. Osuna recalled growing up in a household with military and police backgrounds, and having to persuade relatives that music was worth pursuing. That family tension is an important part of his account because there was no guarantee that a life spent in nightclubs would become a living. What stayed with him was not a machine or a particular record. It was the connection between the selector and the people moving in front of him. Osuna first encountered Ibiza in the late 1990s. He became a resident at Amnesia around 1999, part of a club ecosystem where a young DJ could hear the world’s most exacting selectors in close quarters and learn how to sustain a dance floor over long hours. A 2023 Mixmag interview places that Amnesia breakthrough at the center of his early island career. The clubs were not merely names on an itinerary. They supplied a musical community. Osuna built relationships with figures including Marco Carola and Richie Hawtin, and eventually performed across changing eras of Ibiza nightlife. In a DJ Mag interview he recounted an uncomfortable choice between Hawtin’s ENTER. parties and Carola’s emerging Music On concept. Loyalty and friendship were part of the decision, not just the size of a booking. He later joined Music On in 2015. Working on programming a room gave him an additional education: deciding not only what he would play, but which other DJs could make the night feel coherent. In 2006 Osuna founded Mindshake Recordings, the label through which he could support the rhythms and production ideas he cared about. Around the same period he helped found the Club4 techno party alongside Marco Carola, Adam Beyer and Christian Smith. These were not interchangeable ventures. One helped circulate music as records, while the other created a setting in which DJs could test it with real audiences. His musical palette has always had room for techno, tech house and minimal grooves. In conversation with DJ Mag in 2023, he argued that the bassline and the sense of groove are the essential elements, even when the sound becomes harder or faster. The idea is useful for young producers because it begins with the dancer rather than a fashionable genre label. A track must move and sustain a room; the marketing description comes afterwards. NOW HERE began at Hï Ibiza in 2022 and became a residency built around a straightforward promise: concentrate on the music in the present moment. Osuna told DJ Mag that he chooses guests after watching them DJ in real life. A recorded studio mix is not enough for him; he wants to see whether someone can control a crowd and fit the musical purpose of his room. He also acknowledged that his situation gives him an unusual freedom. Because the Club Room can attract an audience without relying on a celebrity booking, he can prioritize performers whose talent is stronger than their public profile. Smaller promoters carrying greater financial risk may not be able to copy the formula exactly. That distinction makes Osuna’s position more valuable, not less: he is describing a standard for judging musical work while recognizing that business conditions shape what a promoter can risk. Hï Ibiza confirmed Osuna’s fifth NOW HERE season ran from June 2 to October 6, 2026, across nineteen dates. The club described these as hybrid live and DJ sets and placed the residency in the Club Room. Its October 12 recap reported that the party had expanded beyond Ibiza to Europe and the Americas. A September 2026 Hï Ibiza interview revisited his Barcelona childhood, first track, Mindshake beginnings and advice from Marco Carola. Decades into a career, Osuna was still telling his story through the choices that led him into the booth and the people who shaped those choices. There is an easy way to reduce a veteran artist to statistics: years played, releases issued, nights sold out. Osuna’s own interviews point somewhere more interesting. The reason to keep returning is the possibility that the records, the room and the crowd will connect again. The DJ Hangout’s booking question asks whether ten thousand followers or ten years behind the decks should win a gig. Osuna supplies a third way to think: listen to what the artist does in front of people and whether their music belongs in that specific room. That is not a guarantee that every unknown DJ can get booked at Hï Ibiza. It is a challenge to reduce talent evaluation to something more meaningful than an online scoreboard. He began as a teenager watching a selector hold a room together. His career has brought him back to the same essential question: when the night belongs to the music, what can the person behind the decks make possible?
