THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

Levity

Three friends built an electronic trio, then found themselves answering the kind of call that can change a career: a last-minute opening at Electric Forest in 2024. John Hauldren, PJ Carberry and Josh Tarum had formed Levity in 2019 and worked through local performances and releases, including the Dem Jointz collaboration “Flip It.” Their style connects thick dubstep bass, bright synthesizer melodies and deliberately playful live energy. They followed their 2024 festival breakthrough with the Escapism Vol. 1 EP. In January 2027 they return to Chicago for two nights of Snow Day 3 at Navy Pier’s Festival Hall, debuting a new live production concept called the Octobot. The venue has confirmed two different sets, making the two-night run more than a repeat performance.
