THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

Doc Martin

When Doc Martin began DJing house records in San Francisco in 1986, the American rave circuit had not yet acquired its modern festival infrastructure. He developed a reputation for long, genre-crossing sets built from deep digging in record stores and an ear for acid house, techno and soul. A move to Los Angeles in the early 1990s brought him into a scene where he became a defining West Coast selector. His October 17, 2026 St. Petersburg appearance alongside Brian Busto at The Nest connects that history to Tampa Bay’s Serious Soul tradition. The event itself is confirmed by its ticket vendor, while The DJ Hangout distinguishes his established career from any unverified future residencies.
