THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

ARTBAT

ARTBAT started with two experienced Kyiv DJs deciding that the studio was worth sharing. Artur and Batish combined their backgrounds in the city's club circuit into a production project built around melodic tension and big-room weight. Early releases including Mandrake helped bring their work into international sets, followed by music on labels such as Diynamic. Their rise illustrates a common truth about electronic music: DJs often hear a producer's reputation before they know the producer's face. ARTBAT used records that traveled from booth to booth to build an audience far beyond Ukraine.
