THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

VOLO

VOLO is an electronic producer whose work is built around cinematic synths, organic instrumentation and expansive melodic ideas. The official Gravitas biography describes the recordings as a way to express experiences and memories through carefully assembled layers of sound. The catalog includes Drifter, Wild Mind and With the Winds, with material moving between downtempo, future bass, orchestral-inspired arrangements and house rhythm. Such range works because the songs share an interest in emotional movement rather than committing the project to a narrow tempo.
