THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

Supersillyus

Supersillyus is the project of Denver-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Robert Max, also known as Bobert Max. His electronic music uses cinematic storytelling, layered melodies and unconventional rhythms to create an experience that is often humorous as well as carefully composed. The Gravitas catalog includes Charade, and the musician developed the Supersillyus Lifeband as an immersive live performance with other instrumentalists. The concept was designed to move beyond simply playing recordings from a computer by incorporating the spontaneity of performers into electronic arrangements.
