THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

Peggy Gou

Peggy Gou's career is a cross-border story, not a simple flag on a map. Born in South Korea and established in Berlin's electronic scene, she developed a sound that draws on house, techno, breaks and unmistakable pop instincts without losing its club foundation. Her early releases on underground labels such as Rekids helped build credibility before her records reached a far wider audience. The visual world surrounding Gou can attract almost as much attention as the music, but the DJ story begins with track selection, production and the hours spent shaping a set. Berlin is the working base; Korean identity remains part of the artist's story.
