THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

Mochakk

Before the international bookings, Mochakk was a Brazilian beatmaker immersed in skating and hip-hop. Performing under the name Mochakk, Pedro Maia turned toward house music and put the same rhythmic curiosity into dance-floor records. His track False Need appeared on Chris Lake's Black Book label, while club appearances and sets alongside established artists helped extend his profile beyond Brazil. He stands out for the energy behind the decks, but that alone wouldn't explain the career. The more interesting story is a producer who learned how to make grooves move between scenes without losing their character.
