THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

Lords of Acid

Lords of Acid is a Belgian electronic and industrial-dance project established by producer Praga Khan at the end of the 1980s. Its confrontational early club recordings, including “I Sit on Acid,” connected the European new beat scene to electronic music and industrial-rock performance. The band combines synth programming, distorted dance rhythms, live musicians and theatrical vocals; it is a live electronic act rather than a conventional guitar-only rock concert. On October 23, 2026 the Cheeky Freaky Tour Pt. 2 is booked at WAVE in Wichita, Kansas. The authorized venue ticket provider identifies Carla Harvey as the current lead vocalist and lists Princess Superstar, Tony & The Kiki, and Mz Neon on the same bill. General admission is all ages with 6:30 p.m. doors and a 7:30 p.m. scheduled show. Supporting performers have different musical styles; the event qualifies for The DJ Hangout because the headlining project is demonstrably electronic.
