THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

LANDLADY (Strictly Vinyl)

A bedroom DJ, a pirate-radio DJ and a club DJ aren't competing definitions—they can be chapters of the same career. LANDLADY's own Mixcloud biography traces a long arc through record collecting, London's 1990s pirate-radio stations and booths at venues including Ministry of Sound and Corsica Studios. Her taste stretches from disco and acid house to garage, jungle and drum and bass, with the records taking precedence over genre boxes. London has been her musical base throughout that journey. She began behind closed doors, but her documented history makes her a London club and radio selector today, not an unbooked bedroom DJ.
