Floret Loret

CHAPTER 01

Origins and the artist’s sound

Floret Loret is the project of producer Fernando Loret de Mola, whose approach to bass music uses the imagery of nature alongside dramatic, sometimes industrial sound design. The contrast creates music that can be melodic and inviting before moving into darker textures and heavier rhythms.

Deadbeats released his Secluded Garden EP in 2019, and the later collaboration Reason appeared on a Zeds Dead compilation. The 2023 album Tales From The Terrarium, released with Gravitas, developed a connected narrative across eleven tracks. The recording was discussed by the artist as a project about change and renewal.

CHAPTER 02

Recordings and development

The recordings to explore include Secluded Garden; Tales From The Terrarium; Bloodstone. These titles are grounded in the artist’s label history and are starting points for listening rather than claims about a current chart position.

His release and festival history includes work associated with mau5trap, Bassrush and Quality Goods as well as appearances at Okeechobee and EDC. These label and event references show the range of audiences interested in his mixture of carefully detailed production and forceful bass.

CHAPTER 03

Why the project matters

The important thing about Floret Loret is how a full album can work as one fictional environment. Individual tracks introduce changing moods without losing the feeling of a shared world. DJs studying the album can hear how sequencing and contrasting textures create a journey beyond the effect of one big drop.
