David Starfire

CHAPTER 01

Origins and the artist’s sound

David Starfire is a long-running electronic producer and collaborator associated with global-bass music. His recordings draw from a network of international musicians and instruments while keeping contemporary bass, downtempo and club rhythms central to the finished productions.

The catalog includes Ascend, Karuna, Portal: Curated by David Starfire and Future Self. Collaborations identified by the label involve artists such as Chaitanya, Sidecar Tommy and members of The Glitch Mob’s creative network, showing how recording credits connect the project with several musical communities.

CHAPTER 02

Recordings and development

The recordings to explore include Ascend; Karuna; Portal; Future Self. These titles are grounded in the artist’s label history and are starting points for listening rather than claims about a current chart position.

His label biography also documents festival performance and remix partnerships, including exchanges with CloZee, Desert Dwellers and ill.Gates. These relationships are part of a scene where a single recorded collaboration can lead listeners toward other producers, instrumentalists and songwriters.

CHAPTER 03

Why the project matters

Starfire illustrates why the directory needs more than a short genre tag. Production informed by musical traditions requires careful attribution of collaborators, while the artist’s own contribution must remain identifiable. The result is not a substitute for learning about those traditions directly, but a useful route into contemporary electronic fusion.
