THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

Ciel

Toronto-based Ciel understands that a scene doesn't run on releases alone. Born in Xi'an, China, she organized her first party in 2015, then began building a production catalog that ranges from intricate house to breakbeats and psychedelic club music. Early work on Peach Discs was followed by projects on Spectral Sound and !K7, alongside her 2023 album Homesick. Her international performances now take her to respected dance floors, but Toronto remains central to her story as a DJ, producer and music organizer. Her sets move across styles because the musical curiosity came before the genre label.
