CHAPTER 01
The job of a resident DJ
Bryan Rush’s official website puts downtown St. Petersburg at the center of his working calendar. He identifies himself as a resident at The Garden and lists Five Bucks Drinkery among his regular venues. The story here is not a speculative festival breakthrough; it is the consistent work of playing for local crowds.
A resident DJ has to understand what happens when the room changes from early evening conversation to an active dance floor. That practical experience is a career in its own right.
CHAPTER 02
Different audiences, one booth
Rush’s self-published repertoire includes house, electronic dance music, open-format party records, throwbacks and other styles. The distinction matters: he should not be mislabeled as an exclusively underground techno artist.
His website also lists a previous three-year residency at Señor Frog’s in Myrtle Beach. That is an artist-reported history and should remain attributed to him until an independent venue archive confirms it.
CHAPTER 03
Document the work, not imagined headlines
The official site offers performance material and booking information, useful starting points for researching what his sets actually sound like. A complete booking history still needs dated flyers or venue confirmations.
For The DJ Hangout, this profile represents the working DJ often missing from dance-music directories: someone with a regular audience, a real room and music to play tonight.
THE REPORTING BEHIND THE STORY
Verified releases, artist accounts, interviews and dated event records. Artist-reported history is identified in the article when older accounts disagree.
Until an authentic image is approved for republication, this profile uses original name artwork rather than a fabricated artist portrait.
