CHAPTER 01
The artist and musical direction
Bósa is an electronic project associated with producer Stephan Jacobs and collaborator Sunev. The Gravitas artist biography describes Jacobs using field recordings gathered through travel together with composed electronic tracks and live percussion. These elements give the music a distinctive relationship between deep house grooves and acoustic rhythm.
CHAPTER 02
Key releases and connections
The album Off The Grid documented the duo’s broader musical identity in seven tracks, including Electric Blue, Batucada, Melange and Cenote. The label specifically credited Stephan and Sunev for their collaboration on this album, making it important not to flatten the group into an invented single-person biography. The title also reflects their desire to move beyond conventional house arrangements.
CHAPTER 03
Listening and live context
A separate recording, Walking In The Stars, united Bósa with David Starfire and AHEE. These collaborations connect organic house to the more bass-oriented work found throughout the Gravitas catalog. DJs studying the music can hear how percussion, sampled textures and low frequencies build motion without overwhelming the melodic material.
