THE DJ HANGOUT / ARTIST PROFILE

Alok

Alok's story sits at the intersection of Brazil's electronic-music industry and the global festival circuit. The Brazilian producer and DJ moved from his domestic dance market into international touring and records that combine club rhythms with broader melodic hooks. Resident Advisor lists him among Brazil's internationally active artists, with appearances stretching beyond South America. His sound reaches an audience that does not necessarily spend every weekend in an underground club. For the dance-music business, that creates an interesting question: how do you keep an identifiable musical approach while working in increasingly large rooms? Alok has made that balancing act central to his career.
